Longest night of the year

I signed up to this fundraiser with Choices for Youth under the impression I would have to sleep outside during a cold night in February. You can image my delight in finding out that instead it will be a 5k walk.

Now, I know the cynic in me rolls his eyes when I see someone running in an election suddenly become Mother Teresa. But we will all be happy to know that I, in fact, have a history with Choices for Youth when back in 2013 or 2014, I used my elite skills as a filmmaker to help a group of youths create a film of their own imagination. I don't have a copy of that video, but it might be somewhere online.

And second, please know that any donations made goes directly to Coldest Night Of The Year, and doesn't count nor should be considered a political donation or even an endorsement of me (even though, I think everyone should endorse me.)

Who is this man?

G. Patrick Condon is a business owner, media producer and broadcaster. Raised in Central Newfoundland in a socially active family, Patrick has spent his adolescent life involved in his community by organizing events for Crime Prevention and conducting studies for The Status of Women.

Now living in St. John's and living in Pleasantville with his partner Tracy and teenager Toby, for the last number of years, Patrick has used his experience in Film and Television to mentor youth for organizations such as Choices For Youth, St. John's International Women's Film Festival and Newfoundland Independent Filmmaker's Co-op (in Which he has sat on the board of directors). He has also volunteered for Food Banks and The Gathering Place during the pandemic.

Patrick's proudest accomplishment has been to leverage his creativity and deal-making skills into making several successful productions with budgets in the millions of dollars, negotiating with unions and crown corporations to help hundreds of artists and crew members put food on their tables.

A unique blend of social awareness, forward thinking with a business mindset, G. Patrick Condon is a candidate unlike Newfoundland has ever seen. A leader for the next generation of this province.
